Rest in Peace, Picture Fresno

A year-and-a half after Paprika Studios started a photography initiative,  which boasted the many angles of Fresno viewed through hundreds of native viewfinders, the company has announced it will close down Picture Fresno after its year-end party tonight in Tower District.

The website has allowed Fresnans to upload photos based on weekly themes, which photography experts and judges would evaluate and award prizes to the top photos.

During its time online, Picture Fresno amassed 762 photos from professional and amateur photographers.

The final theme for the website was undoubtedly expected:  FRESNO. The deadline to submit photos was last night.

Picture Fresno, it’s been a great, visually stunning ride.
